Don't Fall for Footage Firm's "Free" Offer

Comments

Too bad I am reading your message AFTER I ordered the content...
Sorry to hear about that!
I too was eager to take Footage Firm up on their scammy offer. When I called American Express to have them remove the charge from my account (which they happily did), they told me that Footage Firm was on a list of companies that people were complaining about.
[this is good]
Hello everyone, I'm with Footage Firm and I just want to apologize for your bad experience and let you know that we have a return policy that allows you to ship your footage back to us at any time for a full refund including shipping. So if you ordered any of the free DVDs and weren't happy, please send them back to us and we will happily refund every penny.

@lbwalker: I'm surprised by your comment as we have only had a few charge backs in the 10 year history of our company due to our open ended return policy. There is no reason to cancel a charge through American Express when you can simply call or email us and we will happily refund you entirely.

@Fresh: Thank you for stating your concerns. For the past decade we have sold footage primarily to large production companies and TV networks, and this campaign is an effort to expand our customer base and get our footage into the hands of new potential users. We are certainly not out to scam or mislead anyone, as we would love to live see another decade in business! Your comments are very helpful as we plan for future projects and advertising campaigns.

If anyone else has any questions, comments or suggestions, please let me know: laura (at) footagefirm.com. Our company is run by a small group of independent editors, videographers and production industry veterans, and we want to make sure we are serving our peers well!
I have to chime in on this.
I have to chime in on this (and most of my last post got deleted). I ordered the free offer from footage firm, payed my 8 bucks for shipping, and in less than a week got the data DVD, and the footage is great. I'm sorry for all the bad experiences you folks are saying you're having, but that's not been my experience. I payed 8 dollars, got some great royalty free footage, and will be using it. It was not a scam to me. Here's the video I'm working on that I'll be using the footage for:

I've dealt with Footage Firm two or three times and have been very pleased. I'm ordering from them again today.

My experience with Footage Firm has been entirely positive. The backgrounds I purchased were exactly what I wanted at a great price.
