State incentives
There are 4 states that have new production incentives:
Michigan - 40%-42% rebate
Mississippi - 20% rebate
Alaska - 30%-40% tax credit
Georgia - 30% tax credit
And the old reigning queens that I know of are:
New Mexico - 25% rebate
Massachusetts - 20% rebate or 25% tax credit, whichever is higher
Louisiana - 25% tax credit
Note that these incentives may help regardless of your budget since the minimum amount required depends on the state. If memory serves me right, New Mexico has no minimum while Massachusetts and Michigan have a minimum of $50k. The list above is linked to the state commission offices. Check them out for details. When comparing these numbers, remember rebates are better than tax credits since you don't have to sell it on a secondary market.
